Insimbi Aluminium Alloys is a Johannesburg-based secondary aluminium smelter. We manufacture various aluminium products such as aluminium pellets, ingots and other shapes for various industries, including but not limited to the steel industry. We also manufacture copper-based alloy ingots.

Our plant uses a reverberatory furnace and a tilting rotary furnace (TRF) for aluminium ingot production and two 500kg induction furnaces for the copper-based alloy melting. This gives us the capacity to produce approximately 500mt-600mt per month for aluminium products, alloys and 80mt – 100mt per month for copper-based alloys.

You need not worry about quality or sustainability when you approach us. Our modern laboratory facilities ensure efficient analytical control in terms of chemical and physical excellence and our plant is ISO 9001:2008 accredited for a Quality Management System. We are also fully environmentally compliant in terms of the Air Emissions legislation and use natural gas and electricity as energy sources for melting and for aluminium products.

The following specs can be produced at our plant:

Aluminium-based alloys:

  • Various deoxidant grades
  • Most of the ADC Grades
  • Most of the LM Grades
  • GAL Si9-Cu3

Copper-based alloys:

  • Brasses
  • Bronzes
  • Gun metals

Over the years, Insimbi Aluminium Alloys has developed a reputation as a major player in the South African secondary aluminium products market. We are especially well known for our quality products, competitive pricing, flexible lead times and excellent service.
