Our business is highly mechanised, with state-of-the-art equipment and a fleet of reliable new trucks geared to handle large volumes efficiently. Among our current staff of 60 are several staff members with over 20 years’ experience in the scrap metal industry.

We strive to support the South African economy, supplying local end users wherever possible. Excess material is exported through the company’s own shipping department, which deals directly with end users in China, Korea and the rest of the world.

Our Premises

Queensmead Yard

You will find a hive of activity at our original premises in Queensmead Industrial Park which is geared to handle a vast tonnage of non-ferrous scrap. With a constant stream of trucks crossing the weighbridge – bringing diverse loads of metal into the yard for sorting, shearing, baling and packing into containers for export.

Unlike most similar operations in South Africa, the yard is fully concreted and almost completely under cover, allowing production to continue regardless of adverse weather conditions.

The operation is highly mechanized with all the latest metal processing equipment.

The yard is conveniently located for easy access to the N3 to Johannesburg and the M7 to the Durban harbour.

Our Company is fitted with state-of-the-art machinery which ensures a fast, efficient service. Non-ferrous metals are scientifically analyzed at the scale and sorted according to grade as well as weight – so you can buy and sell with confidence.

Our Services

Buying Scrap Metal

We buy all non-ferrous scrap metal (copper, brass, lead, zinc alloys, cast aluminium and foil, nickel, etc) as well as stainless steel and ferrous scrap – regardless of tonnage. Our service includes collection and bin placement services if they are required. We aim to provide a prompt, personal and professional service.

The weighbridge and scales are regularly independently calibrated and our metal processing equipment is designed for quick and convenient turnaround. We also collect if necessary and offer a free bin placement service where scrap metal is generated on a regular ongoing basis.
